Dress Code

Members and Visitors are asked to comply with the Club’s Dress Rules in order to maintain standards. Failure to do so will result in access to the course / clubhouse being refused.


On the Course

Acceptable
  • Golf caps (peaks to front)
  • Golf hats
  • Appropriate wind/waterproof golf tops/trousers
  • Golf shoes
Gents
  • Polo shirts / turtle / polo neck tops – worn tucked in to trousers / shorts
  • Appropriate full length golf trousers
  • Tailored shorts (with long plain or short white sports/trainer socks)
Ladies
  • Collared / turtle / polo neck tops
  • Sleeveless collared tops
  • Appropriate golf trousers / culottes /
  • ¾ trousers / shorts / skirts
Not Acceptable
  • Blue denim clothing
  • Bandanas
  • T shirts / Vest Tops
  • Athletic / football style shorts / trousers / tops
  • Rugby shirts
  • Tracksuit tops / trousers
  • Cargo style trousers / shorts
  • Trainers
  • Shoes not specifically designed for golf
  • Clothes displaying large logos or lettering
  • Three quarter length shorts
  • Beachwear

In the Clubhouse

Acceptable In the Clubhouse
  • Recognised golf or smart casual wear.
  • Tailored shorts may be worn.
  • Shoes / Trainers / Deck Shoes may be worn without socks
  • Leather sandals
  • Smart jeans
  • T-Shirts with and without a collar, tucked or untucked
  • Golf Shoes are permitted only in the 19th hole.
Unacceptable In the Clubhouse
  • Waterproof Jackets
  • Waterproof Trousers
  • Caps & Hats
  • Sports, beach, cargo, shorts
  • Cargo or tracksuit trousers
  • Plastic or Rubber flip flops/sandals
  • Shorts with coloured socks
  • Non dimpled golf shoes (only in the Dining room and Lee Westwood Lounge)
  • Dress rules may be relaxed in certain circumstances by the Club Captain or, in his absence, aDirector, the Team Captain of the day or the authorised event organiser.
